A Bit About Us
The creation of Sensory Sounds
Sensory Sounds stemmed from the lockdowns during the Covid-19 pandemic and the isolation and overwhelming feelings that parents caring for children with additional needs felt whilst they had to homeschool their children.
Through speaking to parents, carers and teachers, It became apparent that there were not enough resources focusing on the bond between parent and child, and how doing something together, such as a musical activity, could improve both the wellness of the child and parent.
Additionally, with school funding and staffing cuts, music is often difficult to incorporate into the school day.
Therefore, Sensory Sounds was created! An online space to access free musical resources for parents, carers and teachers of young people with additional needs. The content can be accessed any time of day and can be used to suit the needs of your child.
